Domain Name Transfers

This article explains how to transfer your domain name from RegistrarX to EasyWebDNS.

1- The process begins by unlocking the domain name at RegistrarX (A list of registrars follows), and obtain the Authorization code of the domain name for use in step 3.

2- Purchase a domain transfer for the domain you wish to transfer at EasyWebDNS, A domain transfer costs as much as renewing a domain for one year, and includes a year extension to the domain name's validity.

3- EasyWebDNS sends an email with a link and codes to enter at EasyWebDNS to confirm the transfer (To the current domain owner), the link must be followed, customer must login and enter the codes at EasyWebDNS.com, In this step, the user must also enter the domain name's Authorization code obtained from RegistrarX in step 1. IF you are not the current owner of the domain name, you will need to ask the owner to supply the information to you as this email is sent to the current owner in the whois.

4- EasyWebDNS sends notification to RegistrarX about the domain transfer.

5- RegistrarX notifies the client (RegistrarX's client) of the transfer, and gives the client the ability to reject the transfer, if the transfer is not rejected within 5 days, and the domain is not locked, the transfer will proceed, Some registrars including EasyWebDNS allow the client to approve the transfer manually rather than having to wait for 5 days.

6- RegistrarX releases domain name to EasyWebDNS

7- EasyWebDNS will email the client that the domain is now at EasyWebDNS and that the client can control the domain name at EasyWebDNS.

Please note, most registrars require you to contact them by email or phone for the Domain Authorization Code.
