The Edit Menu

In the Edit Menu, there are the following submenus:

1) Undo : Shortcut = Ctrl+Z :this option will take you one step backward to the last application that you created. 2) Step Forward : Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+Z : This option will step forward in the history of the applications that you have done to your documents. It works as the Redo option in other programs. 3) Step Backward : Shortcut = Alt+Ctrl+Z : This option will step backward in the history of the applications that you have done to your documents. 4) Fade : Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+F : to make changes to the last filter or effect you applied to your image,with the ability to maintain the control over the opacity and blend mode. 5) Cut : Shortcut = Ctrl+X : This works as the ordinary cut option, it could cut text, shapes, paths, selection, ect. 6) Copy : Shortcut = Ctrl+C : This works as the ordinary copy option, it could copy text, shapes, paths, selection, ect. 7) Copy Merged : Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+C : when you have multiple layers and you want to make a copy of all the layers but have them merged into one layer. 8) Paste: Shortcut = Ctrl+V : This works as the ordinary paste option, it could paste text, shapes, paths, selection, ect. 9) Paste Into: Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+V : This option would paste something inside a selection. 10) Clear : this works as the delete option. 11) Check Spelling : Spell Checking the text that you create with the type tools in Photoshop. 12) Find and Replace Text: This would find the words that you define and replace them by others (that you also define) from the text available in your document. 13) Fill: Shortcut = Shift+F5 : Fill is for the area inside a selection, and this option you can fill it with a color or a pattern. 14) Stroke : is for the outline of the selection, which through this option you can change the outline (stroke) color. 15) Free Transform : Shortcut = Ctrl+T

it allows us to free up the memory that's being used by the Undo command, the Clipboard, the History palette, or all three at once. it has its own Sub-menu that contains the following : Undo, Clipboard, Histories, All
