The File Menu

In the file Menu, there are the following submenus:

1- New Document: Shortcut is Ctrl+N This option will open a new Photoshop Document. You can also have more information on "Opening New Documents" by visiting it's own page. 2- Open file: Shortcut is Ctrl+O This option will open a file from outside Photoshop. You can have more information on "Opening Files" by visiting it's own page. 3- Browse: Shortcut is Alt+Ctrl+O allows us to browse and navigate through all of our existing documents. 4- Open As: Shortcut is Alt+Shift+Ctrl+O 5- Open As Smart Object New In Cs3 6- Open Recent:File:Openrecent.gif

it has a sub-menu which has some of your recent work, with the option to clear the recent work saved here.


7- Device Central New In Cs3 8- Close: Shortcut is Ctrl+W 9- Close All: Shortcut is Alt+Ctrl+W 10- Close and Go To Bridge: Shortcut is Shift+Ctrl+W


11- Save: Shortcut is Ctrl+S You can have more information on "Saving Documents" by visiting it's own page. 12- Save As: Shortcut is Shift+Ctrl+S 13- Check In New In Cs3 14- Save For Web and Devices: Shortcut is Alt+Shift+Ctrl+S 15- Revert: Shortcut is F12 To restore Changes to the past saved files. In case you wanted to go back to the saved file that you didn't like the changes you did on. 16- Place This option will Place a file from outside Photoshop. the import menu has a sub-menu of it�s own as well, and it contains: Variable Data Video Frames to Layers Annotations WIA Support. To know More About How to Import Files, Please Visit the "Opening Files" page.


18- Export: you can have more information about Export by visiting it's own page

the export menu has a sub-menu as well, and it contains the following: Data Sets as Files Paths to Illustrator Render Video Send Video Preview to Device Video Preview Zoomify.


19- Automate: you can have more information about Automate by visiting it's own page

it has a sub-menu that contains the following: Batch PDF Presentation Create Droplet Crop and Straighten Photos Contact Sheet II Picture Package Web Photo Gallery Conditional Mode Change Fit Image Merge to HDR Photomerge

it has a sub-menu that contains the following: Image Processor Layer Comps to Files Layer Comps to PDF Layer Comps to WPG Export Layers to Files Scripts Events Manager Load Files into Stack Load Multiple DICOM Files Statistics Browse.

21- File Info : Shortcut is Alt+Shift+Ctrl+I Here you can enter the information that you can attach to your file, in our example below, we used a Jpg. You can enter The Document title, the author's name and title, the description of the file, ect.

22- Page Setup: Shortcut is Shift+Ctrl+P Here you can Modify your page setup before printing, you can choose to change the size, source, Orientation, and Margins

23- Print Shortcut is Ctrl+P This option allows you to print your document. 24- Print One Copy : Shortcut is Alt+Shift+Ctrl+P This option allows you to print your document in One copy only. 25- Exit Shortcut is Ctrl+Q To know more about Closing and Exiting in Photoshop, please visit it's own page.
