If you select layer from the menu bar and go down in the sub-menu that appears, you�ll find a command called Type that command and contains all the options related to the layers that contain text.
Go ahead and select type, now you can see that another sub-menu appeared. That sub menu contains the following options:
1.Create work path: this command will create a path on the text border, using the direct selection tool (white arrow) you can change the shape of the font by dragging the points you see on the path, another thing you can do after you converted the text into a path, by using the same (direct selection tool) right click on the path you�ll get the following options: Add Anchor point. Create vector mask. Delete path. Make Selection Fill path Stroke path Clipping path. Free transform path.
2.Convert to shape: just like the previous option, this command will convert the text into a shape that can be edited by using the direct selection tool. If you right click on the shape you just created by using the direct selection tool, a pop-up menu will appear, that pop-up menu contains the following options Add anchor point. Create vector mask. Delete vector mask. Define custom shape. Make selection. Fill path. Stroke path. Clipping path. Free transform path.
