The View Menu

In the View Menu, there are the following submenus:

-Proof Setup: which contains the following options within it: Custom, Working CMYK, Working Cyan Plate, Working Magenta Plate, Working Yellow Plate, Working Black Plate, Working CMY Plate, Macintosh RGB, Windows RGB, Monitor RGB.

-Proof Colors : (Shortcut = Ctrl+Y) This would apply the Proof color settings that you have verified in the Proof setup window. -Gamut Warning : (Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+Y) : The colors that are out of the gamut range (out of the CMYK or RGB range) will appear grayed (by default) or what ever color you chose in the preferences

-Pixel Aspect Ratio Correction : This would apply the pixel aspect ratio imported with the image you open in photoshop to give a clear view of it's true look -32-bit Preview Options : This would determine which brightness range would be displayed in Photoshop. -Zoom-In : (Shortcut = Ctrl++) You can zoom into your document with this option -Zoom-Out : (Shortcut = Ctrl+-) You can zoom out of your document with this option -Fit On Screen : (Shortcut = Ctrl+0) It makes the Document you are working on Fit on screen so you can see all your document. -Actual Pixels : (Shortcut = Alt+Ctrl+0) This will show you the actual pixel view of your document. -Print Size : This will show the actual print size of your document. -Screen Mode: it contains the following options: Standard Screen Mode, Maximized Screen Mode, Full Screen Mode With Menu Bar, Full Screen Mode.

-Extras : (Shortcut = Ctrl+H) : to show and hide things like Guides, Grids, Slices -Show:

Layer Edges: This will show the edges of layers

Selection Edges: This will show the edges of Selections.

Target Path: (Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+H) This will hide or show the path outlines.

Grid: (Shortcut = Ctrl+') This will show or hide the grids

Guides: (Shortcut = Ctrl+;) This will show the guides in your document.

Smart Guides: This will show the smart guides in your document

Slices: This will show the slices in your document

Annotations: This would show or hide the notes (texts or audio) that you have added to your document.

All : This will show all of the above.

None : This will hide all of the above.

Show Extra Options : This will determine what would be included in the show submenu.

-Rulers : (Shortcut = Ctrl+R) : to show and hide Photoshop's rulers.

-Snap : (Shortcut = Shift+Ctrl+;) : force objects to snap to (magnet like) guides, grids, layers, slices and the document bounds. -Snap To: Guides, Grid, Layers, Slices, Document Bounds, All, None, here you can choose one or more of the lists

-Lock Guides : (Shortcut = Alt+Ctrl+;) : This will lock the guides in place.

-Clear Guides : This will clear all the guides available.

-New Guide : This will make a new guide, where you can choose it's place and orientation.

-Lock Slices : This would lock the slices in their place -Clear Slices : This will delete all the slices.
