=> Photoshop Tutorials => Photoshop 101 => The Basics of Workspace => Basics of The Menu Bar => The Window Menu => Animation Palette
-To access the animation palette, go to window then choose animation.
-There are two categories in the animation palette, a timeline animation and a frame animation. To switch between both, click on
the 3 dashes icon
on the top right of the palette and choose either Convert to Timeline or Convert to Frame animation.
Lets Start with The Frame Animation: The frame animation in Photoshop CS3 is similar to that which was available before in Image Ready.
With this palette you can create motion to your text, images, ect. through dividing each movement and put it on a different frame. There are some preferences that you can change while working with the Animation frames palette.
With this time span icon, you can click on the black head arrow to change the time span for each frame.
You can choose to play your animation once, and make it repeat itself when it reaches the end of animation.
With these buttons you can navigate through the frames, play the animation, and pause it too.
This tween icon will create a smooth transition between your frames,
This will create a new frame that while you're standing on, you can add adjustments to.
You can delete a frame by choosing this icon.
Lets Start with The Timeline Animation: The timeline animation palette is totally new in CS3, It helps you creating a more detailed animation that you can control your image's opacity, position, Style, Text wrap (if it's a text) Through a time span that you also can modify (now it's 30 frames per seconds as a default)
each layer will have it's own time line on the palette, where you can click on the arrow head on it's left to open it's animation options.
This arrow head gives you the option of watching what was modified and how does the animation look so that by moving it's slide to the left and the right, over your modification, you can see the animation playing.
The things that you can modify are shown to you as you click on the arrow head next to the layers name in the animation palette.
as you click on the clock next to the property, you are ready to modify it through the time line.
These are the bottons that move through the seconds, hours, minutes and frames (time line) it also plays the whole time span too through the play button.
With the zoom slider you can zoom in and out your time line, to see more detailed (frame by frame) time line
This shows you the total time line span, with the second equivalence in frames (here it's 30 frames per each second)
