How to open: Click Windows then choose Character as seen on the left would open the Character Palette. You can click on the palettes Top to move it wherever you prefer.

Now we'll talk about the Character Palette in Details:

File:Typing32.gif It Sets the Kerning between two characters

File:Typing33.gif It sets the leading between characters

File:Typing34.gif It sets the tracking for the selected characters

File:Typing35.gif Horizontally Scale for the selected characters

File:Typing36.gif Vertically Scale for the selected characters

File:Typing37.gif It sets the Baseline shift

File:Typing38.gif It sets the Color: With this option you can change the color of the text simply by clicking on this box and choosing a color. If after writing the text, you wanted to edit the color, double click on the text to select it, then by this option box you can change the color again.

File:Typing40.gif Anti-Aliasing Method: this is a down drop menu than you can choose either None, Sharp, Crisp, Strong, or Smooth.
