Layers Palette

The Layers Blending Mode :

This determines the blending effect of the selected layer. To know more about the Blending layers mode please visit it's own page.

The Layers Opacity :

This would determine the Layers opacity in a percentage figure.

The Layers Fill :

This would determine the Layers Fill in a percentage figure.

The Layers Lock :

This would lock the layer in 4 different ways Lock Transparency--> This would lock all the surrounding of the image(s) available on the selected layer. Lock Image pixels--> This would lock the filled pixels of the layer Lock Position--> This would lock the layer in place Lock all--> This would lock all the above.

The Layers Visibility :

This would hide the layer and make it reappear again (visible again)

The Layers Name :

With double clicking on the name, Photoshop opens a window where you can write the new name.

The Layers Linking:

This would link two or more selected layers together, so you can align or distribute or move together.

The Layers Masking :

This would allow to create a layer mask

The Layers Fill Or Adjustment :

This allows you to control the fill or color adjustment of a selected layer.

The Layers Grouping:

This would open a folder where you can drag and drop layers inside of it (for organizing purposes only)

The Create New Layer :

This creates a new layer above the selected layer

The Layers Deletion :

This would delete the selected layer.
