File:colorp20.jpg

File:colorp21.gif Here when this "Only Web Colors" box is checked, the color picker window would give you only the safe web colors.

File:colorp22.gif With the New and Current box, this would give you the current foreground or background color and the new color that your cursor has picked now.

Hue: File:colorp30.gif It is a degree between 0" and 360" that measures the reflected color.

Saturation: File:colorp31.gif It is a percentage that measures the strength of the color.

Brightness: File:colorp32.gif It is a percentage that measures the lightness or darkness of the color.

File:colorp24.gif The RGB counters measure the number of each color, Red, Green, and Blue.

File:colorp25.gif The LAB colors counters measure the color with numbers that you can enter in the boxes.

File:colorp29.gif The CMYK colors are also determined by numbers of each counter that you can enter to get the color that you want.

Tip: The difference between RGB and CMYK colors is that the RGB is used for web generated images, while CMYK is used for printing purposes.

File:colorp26.gif The "Add to Swatches" button would add the color that you picked to the swatches palette.

File:colorp27.gif This button would switch you to another view of the color picker which is "The color Libraries"

File:colorp28.gif Each color has it's own digits that might contain letters and number, so you can enter the color code here.
