WARNING: This article is work in progress
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization
Right after a brief introduction here, i will start with the Warnings.
Intro
SEO is the art of showing search engines what your website is about and convincing the world (Not search engines) that your website is where things are at, it is no longer what it used to be 6 years ago.
Black hat SEO is when you want to fool a search engine to think your website is something other than what it really is, or when you want to forge the voting on the internet by posting your links everywhere
White hat SEO is when you try to help search engines like Google, yahoo and others understand your website better so they can assess what traffic belongs to you.
SEO is not exact science or a strict discipline, Simply because other than the search engine senior engineers and staff, no one knows exactly how they work, Plenty of experiments are done every day, but the algorithm (Procedure) keeps changing every day.
The more search engines evolve, the more important it becomes to focus on your user and not the search engine.
Search engines are robots, the more you stick to the standards, the safer you are, Although Search engines tolerate not adhering to the standards, You never know what non-standard things you have are not accounted for by a search engine.
Search engines love plain text, and they like it outside of JavaScript, Although technically search engines can probably extract URLs from JavaScript, it is probably not very wise to count on that
Search engines try to collaborate, For example, the nofollow html tag helps search engines discriminate between links you endorse and links you don't like the links in comments
Search engines are getting good with natural languages, No longer can you fill in a page with keywords and expect traffic.
Don't play smart (At all), almost everything you are about to experiment has been experimented with time and time again, some really smart people like yourself have been obsessed with this game for a long time, anything worth trying has already been used, and sooner or later been foiled by search engines, save your time and your website's clean record.
